About CIRF 2017
2017 China International Risk Forum (also the third Shanghai Risk Forum) is held on December 16, 2017 at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China.
2017 CIRF will have two industry panels and 12 academic concurrent sessions. Industry panelists will address some exciting issues regarding credit analysis, fintech applications, and individual financial planning and risk diversification. Both the industry panels and academic sessions will take place in the Antai Building and Xin Shang Yuan Building of the Xuhui Campus at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The address of SJTU's Xuhui Campus is: 1954 Huashan Road, Shanghai 200030.
The purpose of CIRF is to promote research on risk, uncertainty, and risk management. It provides a platform for its members to exchange ideas and to collaborate with practitioners. CIRF currently has eight member institutes, including

Call for Papers
The forthcoming China International Risk Forum (CIRF) will be held on December 16, 2017 at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China. The purpose of the forum is to promote research on risk, uncertainty, risk management, and related finance topics in the Asia-Pacific region, the Indian subcontinent and around the world. Potential research topics include but are not limited to:
● Corporate risk management, governance and control
● (De)Leverage, risk management, and financial safety of financial institutions
● Investment risk taking of financial institutions
● Ambiguity and ambiguity aversion
● Systemic risk: measurement and management
● Catastrophic risk and its management
● Compliance to financial regulations
● Behavioral explanations of corporate risk taking/management
● Big data applications and predictive modeling in risk management
The deadline for submission of completed papers is August 31, 2017. Please submit your work via https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cirf2017. Please submit a pdf file without author information. No submission and registration fees are required for the conference.
Papers presented at the conference could be considered for publication in the special issues of the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal (PBFJ). Journal submissions will be independent from submissions to the conference. The PBFJ editorial team will be working closely with the CIRF program co-chairs on the review process. Papers presented at the conference can also be considered by the China Finance Review International (CFRI) hosted by the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Submission
1.Create an EasyChair account
To submit your paper, you must have an EasyChair account. If you do not have an EasyChair account,

2.Log in to your EasyChair account and submit your papers
● Click https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cirf2017 to log into your account.
● After you have successfully logged in to your account, click on "Conferences" and click on "CIRF2017" in the popped up table.
● Click "enter as an author", shown as the screenshot below, to enter the submission page.
● Instructions provided on the submission page (see the partial screenshot below) help you to submit your paper. Note that you can upload one pdf file only and authors' names and contacts must be removed from the file. The submission size should not exceed 20MB.
● If you have succeeded in submitting your paper, you will receive the email sent by EasyChair.
3.Others
Please pay attention to the following information, which is not included in the instructions on the submission page.
● If you are the sole author of a paper, you do not need to fill out the information of author 2 and author 3, even though it is marked by (*).
● After you have submitted your paper, you can update and resubmit your paper before the submission deadline (August 31, 2017). See the screenshot below.
4.If you forget user ID or password

Special issue in PBFJ
The Pacific Basin Finance Journal has devoted a special issue of its Journal to papers presented at the 2017 China International Risk Forum (CIRF), and the guest editors invite all conference presenters to consider submitting their work to the special issue. Published by Elsevier, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal provides a specialized forum for the publication of academic research on capital markets of the Asia-Pacific countries. The Pacific-Basin Finance Journal has generously sponsored a research excellence awards at the 2017 China International Risk Forum.
