Prof. Chris Styles
Associate Dean, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Sydney
Chris Styles is both Professor of Marketing and Director of Management Education Programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business. Formerly a Marketing Manager with Procter & Gamble in Europe and the Middle East, his area of expertise is international marketing and strategy, with particular focus on issues relating to the internationalisation process, international alliances and international entrepreneurship. His work has been published in leading academic journals, such as the Journal of International Business Studies, as well as the Financial Times and other practitioner targeted outlets. His book, The SILK Road to International Marketing, co-authored by Tim Ambler of London Business School, is used in Masters programs in Australia, Europe and the USA..
Chris Styles has taught at the China Europe International Business School in Shanghai, Dublin¡¯s Trinity College and on behalf of Duke Corporate Education. As well as his academic activities, Chris has held consulting and executive teaching assignments around the world for such major clients as Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Macquarie Bank, Sony Music, Rio Tinto, HSBC and IBM.
He is a member of the Australian Marketing Institute¡¯s (AMI) National Advisory Board, a Fellow of the Institute and is a Certified Practising Marketer (CPM). And a member of the executive of the Australian New Zealand Marketing Academy (ANZMAC).
