Abstract:
Detroit Electric is the original electric car company, one of the most respected and longest running brands for EV. The brand operated between 1907 and 1939 by the Anderson Electric Car Company in Detroit Michigan. It’s accumulated total EV production reached 13,000 cars. Innovator Thomas Edison was the investor, battery supplier and customers of Detroit Electric

Alan was appointed as Senior Manager of Data Process and Methods team for Detroit Electric in June 2017.
In his role as Data Process and Methods Senior Manager he is responsible for setting up and defining best practices, process to support the Product Development of Detroit Electric EV Ltd’snew vehicle projects and to lead the implementation of 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
Before joining Detroit Electric EV Ltd, Alan has worked for several other New Startup automotive OEMS in China and has a long working career in the automotive industry as a consultant for Jaguar Land Rover, Shanghai Automotive (SAIC) and QOROS Automotive.
Through these prior engagements, he has had a long working partnership with Dassault Systems, in particular building and defining from “ground zero” a PLM Platform for QOROS Automotive, where he and his team and associates together with Dassault Systemesdeveloped a best in class, next generation PLM Platform solution based on Enovia 2012x.
Alan seeks to repeat this success at Detroit Electric EV Ltd, using the latest technology available in the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform to push the boundaries even further enabling Detroit Electric EV Ltd to enter the true digitalization age from concept through to manufacturing in an Industry 4.0 Smart Factory environment.
