ZHU Qinghua is a chair professor in the Department of Management Science, Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She got National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2010, and Science Fund for Creative Research Groups of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2022. She is also a member of the Eighth Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.

Her main research interests include green supply chain management, corporate ESG and remanufacturing management.

She is one of the earliest scholars in the world to have studied green supply chain management since 2000. She is the founder as well as the chairman for the first and second terms of a branch of Systems Engineering Society of China-Sustainable Operations and Management Systems.She has led over 20 projects at the national and provincial levels, including a project of National Key Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Key Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Major Project, and the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC). Her book (the single author) "Green Supply Chain Governance and Value Creation" won the first prize of the Ninth Award for Excellent Achievements in Research in Colleges and Universities (Humanities and Social Sciences).She published more than 130 articles in SCI/SSCI journals, including Journal of Operations Management, and 140 articles in Chinese journals, including Journal of Management Sciences in China. She was a Highly Cited Researcher (Clarivate Analytics) for for 2018, 2019 and 2022, and has been an Elsevier China Highly-Cited Chinese Scholar since 2017. The total citations of her papers are over 18,796 (h-index of 63) and 38832 (h-index of 80) for ISI Web of Science and Google Scholar, respectively. She received the JOM Finalist Paper Award in 2004, and the AOM best paper award for emerging markets in 2009.
