To put into practice the concept of "two types of scholarship, horizontal (academic) and vertical (industry), reinforcing each other and connecting theory with practice", the first industry community class of Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) was officially opened in December 2019, marking the formal incorporation of industry research concept into the curriculum system, and the class has been expanded to 9 industries now. It deeply combines industry practices with theories in a cross-college, cross-project and interdisciplinary way which unites industry, university, research and innovation to establish a virtuous circle of practice, academics, and teaching. This fund specially launched by Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) will promote the co-creation of industry communities and the output of high-quality industry research programs from the college and even the university level, so as to consolidate the full-cycle practical innovation and entrepreneurship education system for SJTU students, facilitate the development of alumni's enterprises, and build a mega-industry community and a new business ecosystem.
