Overview
Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) is dedicated to developing and supporting academic opportunities for global learning and engagement for all of the students and has long been involved in the Student Exchange program. On the master level, over 50 notable business schools around the world partner with us in students’ semester exchanges.

Eligibility
Specific requirements of admission vary according to the exchange programs and the host universities. The general requirements during the ACEM’s nomination stage are as follows:
(1) Year 1 master degree students who has completed 1 semester of study at ACEM
(2) Scored pass or above for all courses
(3) Has a valid English proficiency report of one of the following:
- Score 6.0 or higher on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
- Score 90 or higher on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- Score 480 or higher on the College English Test-6 (CET-6) and/or CET-4
Note: English language requirements can be waived for applicants who meet one of the following conditions but proof materials should be provided.
- Your first language is English.
- You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in a country where English is the native language or the language of instruction of your degree.
Application Time
(1) 18:00 February 14th, 2025, to 16:00 February 25th, 2025
Application Process & Documents
(1) Complete your online application survey by the application deadline
(2) Complete and submit your hard copy application form (downloadable from the online application survey)
(3) Submit a hard copy of your valid English proficiency report or proof of English language waiver together with your signed application form to A404-C (Ms. Yaya TAO)
What to Expect
Detailed application procedures for the individual exchange program must adhere to the standards of your host university. The following is a general outline of the entire application cycle for your semester exchange experience to help you understand what to expect.
Stage 1: Application at ACEM
(1) Do your research and choose the program that best-fits you.
(2) Consult relevant academic teacher for credit transfer, graduation, thesis defence and other academic related matters. Check out 上海交通大学研究生校外学习课程的学分认定与成绩转换办法 if you want to know about credits transfer.
(3) Submit your ACEM application according to the above mentioned application process.
(4) Wait for your application result at ACEM.
(5) Confirm your semester exchange nomination offer by ACEM
Stage 2: Nomination by ACEM
(1) To be nominated by ACEM to your host university.
Stage 3: Application to host university
(1) Receive application invitation from the host university.
(2) Complete and submit your application with the host university accordingly.
(3) Receive the official admission letter from the host university.
Visa Requirements
Most countries require international students to apply for a valid student visa if they are planning to stay there for more than 180 days. Please check the requirements in detail with your host university or with the relevant consulates in Shanghai. Please bear in mind that failure to comply with the entry visa requirements may result in delays or even deportation.
Insurance
You should ensure that you are covered by comprehensive health, accident, personal property, and travel insurance for your entire study period abroad. Before departure, please also make sure that you have met the health requirements of your host country. Some of our partner institutions may have some insurance schemes for overseas students. Please do check with your host university for details.
