TRAPNELL, Jerry

Jerry Trapnell is Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer for AACSB International. He is the former dean of the College of Business and Behavioral Science at Clemson University and served as the 2002-03 chair of the Board of Directors of AACSB International. Prior to becoming Dean at Clemson, he served as director and professor of the Clemson University School of Accountancy. He joined the Clemson accounting program in 1986 after serving on the faculty of the department of accounting at Louisiana State University-Baton Rouge for 10 years. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 1977, his B.S. and M.S. from Clemson University in 1968 and 1970, respectively.
A CPA in Louisiana, he serves or has served on committees and boards of directors of numerous academic and professional associations. He has published articles in a variety of professional and academic journals including Issues in Accounting Education, Management Accounting, Journal for Management Development, The Internal Auditor, Contemporary Accounting Research, Advances in Accounting, Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, Managerial Planning, Journal of Financial Research, National Public Accountant, and Business and Economic Review. He has presented programs at a variety of professional organizations at the local and national level including the Southern Business Administration Association, AACSB International, the South Carolina Association of CPAs, Institute of Management Accountants, Federation of Schools of Accountancy, and the American Accounting Association. He has served on the board of directors of three companies and is active in a variety of civic and local community activities.

PEACOCK, Eileen

Eileen Peacock is vice president and chief officer for Asia at AACSB International. She is responsible for developing effective relationships with Asian management education associations, colleges and institutions.
Dr. Peacock was dean and professor of accountancy for the Charlton College of Business at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth (2004-2008). From 1999 to 2004 she served as associate dean and professor of accounting at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Dr. Peacock obtained her Bachelor of Technology from Loughborough University, England, and a Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham, England. In addition, she obtained a Master of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma, and maintains her CPA and CMA certification.
Dr. Peacock served on the AACSB International Board of Directors from 2007-2009, and served on the Accounting Accreditation Committee (1997-2004), the Initial Accreditation Committee (2007-2009), and the Pre-Accreditation Committee (2004-2007). In addition, she served as a member of accreditation teams, and worked as an accreditation mentor to many schools and accounting programs. Her other professional service also includes 20 years of board and committee positions with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). Dr. Peacock’s research has been published in a wide variety of publications.


CHENG, Guoqing

Guoqing CHEN received his Ph.D. from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL), and currently is professor, (first) associate dean and chairman of the Academic Committee at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. He was honored the national Chang-Jiang Scholars professor by Ministry of Education of China.Professor Chen is member of the Advisory Committee for China’s State Informationization, and serves as vice-chairman of the Educational Steering Committee for Management Science and Engineering, Ministry of Education of China. He is president of China Association for Information Systems (CNAIS), and vice-chairman of China’s Information Economy Society, as well as of China’s Management Science and Engineering Society.
Professor Chen serves as area editor/associate editor/editorial board member for several international journals, and was chair/co-chair in many international conferences. He has been principal investigator for a number of important national research initiatives, and publishes productively and internationally in journals and books.
Professor CHEN is now responsible for research and international initiatives including accreditation at Tsinghua SEM. He has been heavily involved in Tsinghua SEM’s international accreditation processes towards AACSB and EQUIS since his role as executive associate dean at Tsinghua SEM in 2001-2009.

CREMER, Rolf

Prof. Rolf D. Cremer is Dean and Vice President of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, China.
He was born in Germany, and received his MSc in Industrial Engineering (1974), and his PhD in Economics (1978) at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany.
His experience in China and Asia spans almost 25 years, beginning at Tongji University, Shanghai (1982). In 1983 he joined the University of Macau, where he was Professor of Economics, Dean of Social Sciences, and founding Director of the China Economic Research Centre. In 1992, he joined Massey University, New Zealand, as Head of Economics, and Pro Vice-Chancellor until 2002. From 2000 to 2003, he was the International President at the East China Institute of Technology. He returned full-time to China in January 2003, as Professor of Economics, and – since 2004 – Dean and Vice-President of CEIBS. He is also a Distinguished Professor of Nanchang University, Jiangxi, and Honorary Professor at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. In 2008, he received an Honorary Doctorate from the European Business School, Wiesbaden.
As one of the most experienced Deans in the international arena of business schools, he is a member of leading institutional organizations and boards for shaping the future of management education.

Blair Sheppard is dean of Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and chair and founder of Duke Corporate Education (Duke CE). Sheppard earned a BA and MA from the University of Western Ontario and his PhD in social and organizational psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign.

Dominique TURPIN

Dominique Turpin was named IMD Interim President on July 1st,2010. He is also Dentsu Professor of Marketing and Strategy at IMD. Dominique Turpin received his master's degree from ESSCA in France. He earned a doctorate in economics from Sophia University in Tokyo,Japan.
He is director of the International Seminar for Top Executives (ISTE) and was previously the director of the IMD MBA (Master of Business Administration) and PED (Program for Executive Development).
Professor Turpin has directed customized programs for companies such as Groupe SEB,Panasonic,Japan Tobacco International. He has extensive teaching,consulting and research experience in the areas of marketing and international strategy both in Europe and in Asia,particularly in the area of brand management,customer orientation and communications strategy. His current research focuses on brand management,and he has been widely published in more than 100 books,articles and case studies.
He served as Visiting Professor at the Keio Graduate School of Business Administration,Japan. Since 1994,Professor Turpin has served as the IMD representative on the Academic Council of the China-Europe International Business School in Shanghai.

Professor Cheng has conducted consultancy projects and seminars for different organizations,including the OECD,governments of HKSAR and Chinese provinces and cities,AIG,PCCW,and JP Morgan. Among others,he has been an adviser for the Economic Advisory Committee,the Manpower Development Committee,and the Provisional Minimum Wage Commission for the HKSAR Government.
Professor Cheng has extensive teaching experience. He was associate professor at the University of Florida,visiting professor of Fudan University,and adjunct professor of Shantou University. He has taught in a number of executive programs and MBA programs.
Professor Cheng’s research interests include international trade and investment,currency crisis,FDI in China,applied game theory,market structure,technological innovation and imitation. Prof. Zhou Lin assumed the Deanship of Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University since April 2010. Prof. Zhou received Bachelor degree from Fudan University in 1982, and Ph.D. degree in Economics from Princeton University, USA in 1989. He had teaching experience at Yale University, Duke University, Arizona State University, City University of Hong Kong, and Tsinghua University. In 2006, Prof. Zhou was granted the Chang Jiang Scholar by Ministry of Education of China. He was elected Fellow of World Econometric Society in 2009, and is the first scholar in China maintain being granted this award. Before serving as the Dean of Antai College, Prof. Zhou was the previous Dean of School of Economics of Antai College and the Deputy Dean of Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Prof. Zhou’s research interest covers the basic theory areas of Microeconomics, including Game Theory, Mechanism Design, Social Choice Theory and Welfare Economics. He has published articles in most leading economic journals like "Econometrica", "Review of Economic Studies", "Journal of Economic Theory", "Games and Economic Behavior". Shane Tedjarati is responsible for Honeywell’s entire business portfolio in China and India, the company’s most strategic growth markets.
He has more than 20 years of experience in consulting to various industries and has been working in China since 1992. He has a proven track record of creating localized go-to-market strategies, fostering cross-business cooperation and nurturing business partnerships.

Peter WOLNIZER

Peter Wolnizer is Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business and a Professor of Accounting at The University of Sydney, Australia. Under his leadership, the Faculty has been accredited by both AACSB International and EQUIS, and chosen by the prestigious Community of European Management Schools and International Companies (CEMS) as their Australian member business school.
Professor Wolnizer is the first Australian Dean to be appointed to the Board of Directors of the US-based Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). He is a foundation member of the Council of the Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools, established in 2004.
Professor Wolnizer chaired the Education Advisory Committee of CPA Australia from 2000-09, and served on its Representative Council.
Professor Wolnizer holds a BEc from the University of Tasmania; and MEc and PhD degrees from The University of Sydney. His fields of expertise are financial accounting, auditing and corporate governance. His articles have been widely published in scholarly and professional journals internationally.


Michael LUGER

Business and Planning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with appointments on the entrepreneurship faculty of the Kenan-Flagler Business School and in the College of Arts and Sciences. He had served as founding chairman of the consolidated programme in Public Policy, founding director of the University's Centre for Competitive Economies, and the Carl H. Pegg Professor of City and Regional Planning. Professor Luger also taught on the Economics faculties at Duke University and the University of Maryland. He has been a Fulbright Distinguished Scholar (New Zealand), a Reynolds Fellow, and a USIA Fellow (Bulgaria). He was also a visiting professor at Witschaftsuniversitaet Wien. Professor Luger received his AB (architecture and planning) and MPA from Princeton University, and his MCP (planning) and Ph.D. (economics) from the University of California, Berkeley.
Professor Luger was a professional officer at the Greater London Council in the 1970s, and the director of a planning agency in his native Pennsylvania. He has served on the boards of several major public sector and not-for-profit organisations, including chairman of a regional transportation authority and board of adjustment in North Carolina, as well as on many state and national boards and commissions. He has been a consultant and adviser to national, state, regional and local governments throughout the world, and to major multi-national corporations. He also is immediate past president of the membership group of the Association of Public Policy and Management.

Dennis Hanno is the Dean of the Undergraduate School at Babson College and the President’s Endowed Professor of Accounting. Previously he served as the Associate Dean of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame, a Master’s of Science in Accounting degree from Western New England College and a Ph.D. in Accounting degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Dr. Kumar is the Dean of KAIST Business School in the Seoul Campus of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), S. Korea. He is on leave from being a Professor in the Department of Information and Operations Management at the Marshall School of Business in the University of Southern California (USC). Emerson de Almeida has been the Dean of Fundação Dom Cabral since its creation in 1976. He has a Bachelor's in Economics from the College of Economic Sciences – Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. He also has a "Maitrise" from the University of Paris – Institut Français de Presse – (1972).
Dean Almeida has guided the negotiations to implement the alliances with INSEAD (France), Kellogg (USA) and UBC (Canada). He is currently guiding the implementation of a network corporation among business schools in Latin America and BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China). Brian BEMMELS

BRIAN BEMMELS, B.A., Ph.D. (Minn.), The William Hamilton Professor Industrial Relations, Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia.
Dr. Bemmels holds a BA and PhD from the University of Minnesota. His research interests are in justice theory and labour relations. Research topics include grievance procedures and decision making in grievance procedures, the roles of management, union representatives and employees in grievance processing, and arbitration. His teaching areas include labour-management relations, human resource management, and negotiations.
Dr. Bemmels has numerous research publications in labour relations, labour economics and human resource management, many in leading research journals. He has been a frequent participant in conferences for the Industrial Relations Research Association and the Canadian Industrial Relations Association, and was a member of the Executive of CIRA from 2002-2006.
Currently the Senior Associate Dean, Academic Programs for the Sauder School of Business. As Senior Associate Dean, Dr. Bemmels is responsible for new and ongoing programs and student initiatives of the Faculty. Dr. Bemmels was elected to and served on the UBC Senate from 2002 - 2005. Dr. Bemmels served as Chair of the Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Division from 1994-97, and from 2006 – 2009.



William KOOSER

William W. Kooser is the Associate Dean for Students at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. He is responsible for admissions, student services, career services and financial aid for the School’s part time and full time programs, representing over 1800 students.
Up until November of 2009, Mr. Kooser was the Associate Dean for Executive MBA Programs and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Management at the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business. He was responsible for all administrative aspects of the School’s executive MBA programs, covering nearly 600 students on three campuses around the world (Chicago, London, and Singapore). Between 1987 and 2009, Mr. Kooser held a variety of positions at Chicago Booth in Admissions, Career Services, International Programs and Part Time MBA programs.
Mr. Kooser received his B.A. from Yale University in 1978 and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1981. He also holds an MBA from the Katholieke Universiteit te Leuven in Leuven, Belgium. Borge Obel is Professor of Organization and Management and Dean of Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University, Denmark. He has been a visiting professor at Duke University and Stanford University. Debashis CHATTERJEE

Professor Debashis Chatterjee has taught leadership at Harvard University and at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Lucknow and Calcutta for more than a decade. LI Wei'an

LI Wei'an, Management Science doctor and Economics doctor. He is the President of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, the director of corporate governance research centre and the Chief Editor of "NanKai Management Review". To award "Changjiang Scholar" by Ministry of Education in the first batch, and once served as the Dean of Business School of Nankai University.
LI is the leader organizer for the review and appraisal groups of Academic Degrees Committee under the State Council, the associate Director of the Steering Board of Business Administration Education under the Ministry of Education. He is the executive vice-president of the China Society for Management Education of Industrial Enterprises and the chairman of Tianjin Institute of Management, the chief expert of Key Projects of Social Sciences Research of Ministry of Education. Jim HERBOLICH

Jim Herbolich is currently the Director of Network Services at EFMD. He is also a faculty member of the Human Resources Management Department of ESADE in Barcelona, Spain.
At the EFMD, Jim has worked on the development of regional quality standards for management education in Central Asia and South Asia and the development of business school networks in the Middle East and Africa. Jim is on the Board of Directors of EFQUEL (European Foundation for Quality in eLearning) and on the International Advisory Council for the Institute of Business Administration Karachi, Pakistan. He also serves on the Accreditation Board of ABEST 21 in Tokyo, Japan and is on the Advisory Board for the European Learning Industry Group (ELIG).
Jim represents the EFMD at the meetings of RABE, the Russian Association of Business Education, and AAPBS, the Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools. Jim has been managing the EFMD CEL (teChnology-Enhanced Learning) Accreditation---the EFMD accreditation for ICT based learning programmes since its inception in 2003.His last overseas project was as the Director of the MBA Program at the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics, and Strategic Research (KIMEP) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where he was also Team Leader for the consortium of European business schools collaborating at KIMEP.

Professor Chang is currently the Acting Dean, Quoin Professor in Finance and Chair Professor of Finance at the Faculty of Business of Economics of the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He is also the founding director of the Centre of Financial Innovation and Risk Management.
Prior to joining HKU, he was the Invesco Chair Professor in International Finance at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Professor Chang has published many papers in top journals. Gail NAUGHTON

Gail K. Naughton, Ph.D. has been the Dean of the College of Business Administration at SDSU since August 2002. She spent over 15 years at Advanced Tissue Sciences as its founder and co-inventor of its technology. She holds over 95 patents and in 2000 received the 27th Annual National Inventor of the Year award by the Intellectual Property Owners Association. While at SDSU, Dr. Naughton has spearheaded a number of unique MBA programs in partnership with industry, has played an instrumental role in the industry, research, and global accreditation committees of AACSB, and is a member of the Board of Directors of AACSB International.
In addition to her duties at San Diego State University, Dr. Naughton serves as a director for several not-for-profit foundations and also sits on the scientific and industry advisory boards of leading universities, and is a member of the San Diego State University Corporate Governance Institute.
Dr. Naughton earned her Ph.D. in Basic Medical Sciences and her M.S. in histology from the New York University Medical Center. She earned an executive MBA in 2001 from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Gianluca SPINA

Gianluca Spina received his degree in Electronic Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano in 1988. Since 1990 Gianluca Spina has taught management and business economics in various programs – undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, and PhD courses – at the Politecnico di Milano (PdM). In 2000 he got a tenure as a Full Professor at PdM. He holds the chair of the core course of Management at the management engineering programme. From 1999 to 2001 he was director of the MBA Program at PdM. From 2003 to 2006 he was Deputy Director of the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering at PdM.
Gianluca Spina is the author of about 90 publications, half of which are international.

Dr. Xiang Bing is the founding dean of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) China's first not-for-profit, independent and private business school, which was established in 2002. Prior to becoming the dean of CKGSB, Dr. Xiang pioneered the Executive MBA program at Peking University's Guanghua School of Management and served on the faculty at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Dr. Xiang's research interests include the globalization of Chinese companies,comparative corporate systems,corporate governance,the restructuring and management of state-owned enterprises,private enterprise business models,and corporate competitiveness in emerging markets.
Dr. Xiang received his Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Alberta,Canada,and his bachelor's degree in engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University,China.
