Congratulations! ACEM Professors Receive National Funding for Key Research Projects 2024-01-03

The National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences announced the recipients of the 2023 National Social Science Fund Major Projects on December 28, 2023. Among the awardees, ACEM Professors Shi Zhanzhong and Yin Haitao, have received approval for their respective research projects. The National Social Science Fund Major Projects represent the highest level of funding and prestige within the national social sciences funding system, denoting national standards in humanities and social sciences research.

 

Professor Shi Zhanzhong

Chief Expert of the 2023 National Social Science Fund Major Project on "Future Industrial Forms Driven by ‘Digital + Algorithm'"

Shi Zhanzhong is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the director of the university's Center for Industrial Economics. His research focuses on industrial economics and strategic management, with a recent emphasis on artificial intelligence and digital economy. Shi has served as the deputy dean of the SJTU Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology and as an assistant district mayor in Shanghai's Yangpu District, promoting industry-academia-research cooperation and innovation district development. He has published over 90 papers, led more than 20 national and provincial projects, including four major National Social Science Fund projects, and authored five academic books. He is also a member of the editorial board of "China Science and Technology Forum."

 

Professor Yin Haitao

Yin Haitao, Vice Dean and Professor at Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, completed his Ph.D. at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. His research encompasses environmental and energy economics and policy. Yin has led various prestigious projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation's Outstanding Young Scientists Fund. He has received numerous awards, such as the SMC-Morningstar Young Faculty Award from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and has served as a Faculty Affiliate at the University of Michigan's Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise. Yin also reviews for several SSCI-indexed international journals.
