The program will leverage the strengths of both institutions and regions. CUHK's FinTech curriculum, established in 2017, covers cutting-edge areas such as natural language processing and large language models. Meanwhile, SJTU will contribute its expertise in artificial intelligence and big data.
Students will benefit from immersive experiences in Shanghai and Hong Kong, two leading international financial centers, gaining exposure to diverse financial markets and urban cultures.
This dual-degree initiative is part of a broader strategic partnership between SJTU and CUHK, which includes plans for future collaborations in fields such as medicine and artificial intelligence.
As China continues to develop its FinTech sector, this program is poised to play a crucial role in cultivating innovative talent with a global perspective, ready to contribute to the industry's growth domestically and internationally.
