Two faculty members from Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) demonstrated teaching excellence at Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s 9th Young Faculty Teaching Competition Finals held on January 4, 2025.
Associate Professor JIANG Ming from the Department of Economics and Associate Professor SHI Xianwei from the Department of Organization Management were among the 49 young faculty members competing in this prestigious event. Professor JIANG, who specializes in experimental and behavioral economics, is known for his engaging teaching style in courses such as Research Methods and Behavioral Economics. Professor SHI, whose research focuses on innovation ecosystems, has previously received outstanding teaching evaluations, ranking third out of 146 courses at Antai for his English-taught Principles of Management course.
The competition evaluated participants on teaching design, classroom delivery, and pedagogical reflection through 20-minute demonstrations followed by self-reflection sessions. Contestants were assessed by a panel of distinguished professors and academic experts across five disciplinary categories.
This achievement reflects ACEM’s commitment to teaching excellence and its continued efforts to enhance the quality of management education. The college has been consistently strengthening its faculty development programs to maintain its position as a leading business school in China.
