2026 New Year’s Message 2025-12-31

Dear Faculty, Students, Alumni, and Friends of Antai:

As we welcome the new year of 2026, we extend our best wishes, on behalf of the Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), to all our esteemed faculty, students, alumni, and everyone who supports the growth of ACEM.

Reflecting on 2025, we witnessed significant strides in China's modernization efforts and a strong start on the journey toward the second centenary goals. During this year, we diligently pursued the strategy of academic and industry research, advancing towards our aspiration of becoming a world-class business school firmly rooted in China.

In the 2025 Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking, our MiM program ranked 6th globally, with employment rate and several other indicators topping the global list. Our MBA program has remained in the QS Global MBA Top 100 for seven consecutive years. In the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject, the average ranking of our five key disciplines reached 34th globally. We were awarded 28 projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 4 projects from the National Social Science Foundation. 19 projects won the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Awards, including 7 first prizes, setting historical highs in both total awards and first prizes.

We achieved remarkable results in faculty development, winning the university's "Advanced Unit in Talent Work" award. MBA and EMBA programs introduced cutting-edge courses that focus on future industry innovation. SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology and Finance launched the "National Consortium for Talent Development in University Technology Transfer." Our Executive Education Center launched the "Antai Humanities Forum", receiving enthusiastic feedback. The college was approved to offer a part-time PhD program in accounting.

Antai students won the Shanghai Gold Award and National Silver Award at the China International College Students' Innovation Competition, as well as the Grand Prize at the Shanghai "Zhixing Cup."

In 2025, Antai signed new cooperative agreements with 8 world-famous business schools, and led the university again in the number of international students in both degree programs and exchange programs. We successfully hosted our first overseas alumni forum in Bangkok, Thailand, the International Corporate Day and the International Aviation Forum. The Antai Asia-Pacific Center enhanced its training programs. The Shenzhen Research Institute received special policy support for innovation and entrepreneurship from the Shenzhen government.

Our commitment to social service remains strong. Our research publications, indices, and reports have seen success, with case teaching winning top awards. The China Development Research Institute and the National Strategy Research Institute made significant contributions as part of the AMI think tank. We successfully held the 2025 Antai Advisory Board Meeting. The number of alumni donors exceeded 5,000, with one anonymous donation exceeding 13 million RMB.

Looking ahead to 2026, we will continue to strengthen our ties with industry and society, building an open, collaborative ecosystem that supports high-quality economic growth. We are confident that with the collective efforts of all Antai members, we resolve to make even greater contributions to national and societal progress in 2026.

Wishing you all a prosperous New Year filled with health, successes, and happiness!

Sincerely,

Dean Chen Fangruo and CPC Secretary Jiang Wenning
