Keynote Speakers in Plenary Session:

Jeffrey A. Sheehan
Associate Dean, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania

Jeffrey A. Sheehan is Associate Dean for International Relations at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is responsible for a broad range of activities designed to assure that Wharton is a fully globalized educational services business.
Mr. Sheehan earned his graduate degrees in public international law at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Mr. Sheehan established representative offices for the school in Tokyo and Paris in 1988. More recently, he led the team that established a Wharton Representative Office in Shanghai in 2005. He was responsible for the formation of Executive Boards in Asia; in Latin America; and in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Today, the membership of these boards consists of 95 senior graduates from 36 countries. Mr. Sheehan also created a series of annual Global Alumni Forums in Asia, Europe and Latin America. In recent years, they have taken place in Moscow, Shanghai, Mexico City, Istanbul, London, Mumbai, Rio de Janeiro, Singapore and Hong Kong. In 2009, they will take place in Bogota, Dubai and Beijing.

He has established educational programs for senior corporate executives in Tokyo, Taipei, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, and Mumbai. He also established a Faculty International Seminar, which introduced fifty-six Wharton professors to Japan, Korea, Singapore and Malaysia. During his time at Wharton, international donors from eleven countries on three continents have contributed over US$100 million in support of the school.

 

Prof. Santiago Iniguez de Ozono
Dean,
Instituto de Empresa (IE), Spain

Santiago Iniguez de Onzono studied at Madrid~s ComplutenseUniversity and Oxford University, UK. Iniguez de Onzono is a Doctor of Law and holds an MBA from Instituto de Empresa.

He currently combines his responsibilities as Dean of Instituto de Empresa with his position of Chairman of EQUAL (European Quality Link), the consortium that integrates European business school accreditation associations, and he is a Member of the International Advisory Board of AMBA (Association of MBAs, UK). He is also President of the Instituto de Empresa Fund in the US.

Iniguez de Onzono has published several articles and practical case studies on business management. Furthermore he is author and co-author of several books in the field of moral and political philosophy.

 

Prof. Francis G. Estrada
Dean, Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Philippines

Mr. Francis G. Estrada assumed the presidency of the Institute in 2006. For over thirty-two years, twenty-two years outside the Philippines, Mr. Estrada has been a prominent international investment banker, financial adviser and financial entrepreneur, specializing in Asia-related financial operations. In this context, he has lived and worked in Indonesia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, and New York. He has established a number of Asia-related financial institutions and commercial enterprises within and outside the Asian region, advised on numerous turn-around and cross-border financial transactions, and served on the board of over thirty private and public companies based in Asia, United States of America, Australia, and Spain.

Mr. Estrada co-founded and served as President and CEO of the international investment firm William E. Simon and Sons (Asia) in 1992. He co-funded and served as COO of the international merchant bank Asian Oceanic Group, a partnership among a major US insurance firm, a Gulf-based, government owned investment institution, and a group of private international investors in 1982. In 1975, he led the turn-around of the First Indonesian Finance and Investment Corporation, the merchant-banking subsidiary of the Indonesian Central Bank, where he served as Managing Director.

Mr. Estrada is co-founder, Chairman, and Partner of Equity Managers Asia, Inc., a Philippine- based investment and corporate finance firm organized in 1998. In addition to a number of corporate directorships, he is involved in public and private governance issues through the participation in a number of not-for-profit and civic institutions such as the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Institute for Solidarity in Asia, where he serves as Fellow and Trustee.

In 1973, Mr. Estrada graduated (With Distinction) from the Asian Institute of Management with a Master in Business Management (1973) and completed the Advanced Management Program at the HarvardBusinessSchool (1989). He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the De La Salle University (1971).

 

Prof. WANG Fang Hua
Dean, Antai College of Economics & Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University


Prof. WANG Fang Hua is currently the Dean of Antai College of Economics and Management, ShanghaiJiaoTongUniversity. Prof. Wang is holding positions in a number of national education committees in China. He is the member of Disciplinary Evaluation Panel of Academic Degree Committee of the Chinese State Council, member of National MBA Directorate Committee of China, member of Academy Bureau of Science and Technology Department of Chinese Ministry of Education, Vice Chairman of Chinese Marketing Research Association, chairman of Shanghai Behavior Science Committee, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Management Science Research Association, and the chief editor of Shanghai Management Science. Prof Fang Hua Wang has also been appointed as the Special Expert and the chair of the Marketing Project Expert Panel in Shanghai Municipal Bureau of World Exposition.

Fang Hua WangĄ¯s main research field is on Marketing, Strategic Management and Exposition Economy. He is undertaking several research projects in the recent years, including 3 National Natural Science Foundation Projects, and also won the Awards from Shanghai Municipal Government.
