Overview

Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) is dedicated to developing and supporting academic opportunities for global learning and engagement for all of the students and has long been involved in the student exchange programs. On the master level, around 50 notable business schools participated in the student exchange with ACEM scattered all over the world, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia, Singapore, Korea, etc. The specific programs available for the academic year 2024-2025 are listed below.

Eligibility

All the 1st year students enrolled in master's degree programs are eligible to apply. Specific requirements of admission vary according to the exchange programs and the host universities. The general requirements during the ACEM’s nomination stage are as follows:

(1) No failed courses in 2023 fall

(2) Have a valid English proficiency report of one of the following:

l  Score 6.0 or higher on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

l  Score 90 or higher on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

l  Score 480 or higher on the College English Test-6 (CET-6)

Note: English language requirements can be waived for applicants who meet one of the following conditions but proof materials should be provided.

l  Your first language is English.

l  You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in a country where English is the native language or the only language of instruction.

Procedures

Making the decision to study abroad is a big one! Here's a helpful checklist to help you get started. Detailed application procedures for the individual exchange program must adhere to the standards of your host university. The following is a general guideline to help you know what to expect. (As ACEM's partners, tuition is waived at the host university, but you do need to pay for the tuition at SJTU during your exchange semester as well.

Stage 1: Nomination at ACEM

l  Do your research and choose the program(s) that interest you.

l  Submit your ACEM application documents to Ms. Lindsey Ma (via email) before the deadline. Name the email subject as "AY 24-25 Master Exchange Application+Full Name+Student ID".

l  Wait for the placement results of your application.

l  Confirm the result and be nominated by Ms. Lindsey Ma to your host university.

Stage 2: Application to host university

l  Complete the relevant documents required by the host university and submit the official application to the host university.

l  Receive the official admission letter from the host university.

Stage 3: Pre-departure

l  Inform all the relevant faculty members and administrative staff members at ACEM of your incoming exchange, including but not limited to your supervisor（导师）, your academic program teacher（教务老师）, and your exchange program manager (Ms. Lindsey Ma).

l  Closely follow up with the host university for all the next steps.

l  Enjoy your study abroad experience! (Take at least 2 courses at your host university during the exchange period.)

 Stage 4: Back to school

l  Contact your academic program teacher （教务老师）and Ms. Lindsey Ma for further information regarding what procedures need to be completed.

00:00 February 1st, 2024, to 23:59 February 15th, 2024

Placement Result

ACEM will vet all the applications carefully and examine each applicant's GPA scores. The scores of individual students will be ranked before offering them an exchange place. The final official placement result will be announced on ACEM’s website.

Visa Requirements

Most countries require international students to apply for a valid student visa if they are planning to stay there for more than 180 days. Please check the requirements in detail with your host university or with the relevant consulates in Shanghai. Please bear in mind that failure to comply with the entry visa requirements may result in delays or even deportation.

Insurance

You should ensure that you are covered by comprehensive health, accident, personal property, and travel insurance for your entire study period abroad. Before departure, please also make sure that you have met the health requirements of your host country. Some of our partner institutions may have some insurance schemes for overseas students. Please do check with your host university for details.
