内容简介:

For decades, supply chain management and business, in general, has focused primarily on cost reduction, operational speed, and firm-level efficiency. Holistically, however, these optimized industrial networks act as primary drivers of environmental stress, pushing ecosystems toward critical thresholds. This presentation synthesizes my research across supply chain design, digitalization, and environmental strategy to examine how operations can shift away from standard mitigation approaches, such as traditional "Net-Zero" models, toward active ecological restoration. Using a Drivers, Pressures, State, Impact, Responses (DPSIR) framework, the session outlines how business and supply chain drivers generate specific environmental pressures, and how the resulting ecological changes loop back to create operational and financial risks for industry. Finally, the talk examines the responses of how modern business tools—including analytics, multi-criteria modeling, and digitalization—can provide tools and capabilities to help achieve a regenerative image. Rather than using these tools solely to optimize internal corporate margins, they can serve to support nature-positive operational strategies. The presentation concludes by providing potential future research paths that can help achieve a desirable regenerative supply chain future.
